If you own or have owned your home garden for any length of time then you have probably been asked, “How often do you water succulents?” This is one question that I have been asked countless times from gardeners all over the world. And the answer isn’t always clear. Some will tell you that you only give their succulents water once a week while others say you should water them daily.
The truth is, there is no hard and fast rule for succulents. You may however find that it helps if you follow a few tips when giving them water. The most accurate answer to that question, however, is to not water them too much. Too much water can actually make them rather sick and more susceptible to disease. On the other hand, too little water can also be unhealthy for your plants.
I do not recommend watering them more than once a week during their growing season. This seems to be the standard by many gardeners for all plants. I would also recommend spraying them weekly during their growing season, but not more than once a month. If you find your plants are still looking vibrant even though you have watered them less frequently, then you know you are in the right place. In this case, just increase your watering.
When it comes to the summer, it is wise to make a real effort to make sure your plants are receiving as much water as they need. During the hotter months of the year, watering is unnecessary. Instead, you can use a good, deep dish washing system to water them. This method is good because you do not have to worry about running out of water (and muddy soil makes this quite difficult) while cleaning up your plants.
One thing you should consider is when you will be trimming your succulents’ leaves. During their growing season, it is very important to keep their leaves trimmed. This ensures new growth and prevents over-watering. However, as the summer winds down and the winter winds begin to blow, it becomes more difficult to trim the leaves. In order to avoid this, it is highly recommended that you trim your plants at least a week before you plan on harvesting them.
If you do not plan on harvesting your plants, but simply want to keep them healthy, it is wise to never let your plants dry out completely. If you do, the water will not be able to absorb any moisture from the soil, and will therefore not help your plants. To avoid dry soil, it is highly recommended that you water your plants about once a week during their growing season, and even more often in the winter months. In the summertime, it is best to water your plants less often, because of evaporation, but more often in the winter months, when they do not need as much water.
If you are thinking about planting in the spring, it is important that you do not over-water them. Often, people mistakenly believe that because they have just watered them, they are now ready to plant. In actuality, they may have lost too much water, especially if it is the first time that they have been planted. If you want to avoid problems this year, make sure that you know how often you should water them. This will ensure that they get all the water they need, without drying out too much, and without causing plant stress.
When caring for your succulents, you should know that the process of watering can actually be quite easy. When you see that they are getting enough water, it is best to just leave them alone for a little while, and then water them again when the soil is dry. It is important not to over-water, however, as they will need the moisture to keep growing properly. In fact, they can actually become damaged if they are over-watered, so it is very important that you follow this process. It is also very important to pay attention to the weather conditions outside, as it can affect how often you water your plants, and how much water they actually need.
